BOTS partners with delicatessen cafe in Putney for Art Exhibitions

In the view of helping new artists get their work exhibited, we have started to partner with cafes and restaurants across London. These venues have kindly accepted to display paintings and photographs from our Members on their walls.

Our first official partner is Cafe Matteo in Putney (236 Upper Richmond Road, London SW15 6SG) who will start exhibiting painting work from our Member Clare Law as early as next month. On top of enjoying a coffee and slice of cake you will be able to discover Clare Law's fantastic pieces.

Several other venues have already given us their verbal agreement and we are signing partnership with them very soon.

All exhibitions will be announced on our website in the art section so keep an eye out and go discover amazing new artists. If you are looking to redecorate your home it is also a perfect way to purchase authentic art work.

BOTS to open a Market Place

When talking to our Members it appeared clearly to us that artists are sometimes struggling to find the right vehicle to sell their work. Many platforms are available but often involve upfront costs - with no guarantee of sales - or are taking an heavy cut on the sale.

With that in mind we have decided to create the BOTS Market Place! This part of our website will allow any of our Premium Members to sell their work to any of our visitors.

Although we will have to pass on the cost of the payment processing through Paypal (about 35p for a song, 4% of the item cost for anything else), Be On The Scene will not make any profit on the sell of the work and our artists will be able to use this service for free. Hence our Premium Members will only occur a cost if their work is selling.

The BOTS Market Place is currently under test and due to open to artists in the coming weeks for them to upload their work, and to the buyers very soon after that. If you are interested to sell your items and help us test it, feel free to contact us at contact@beonthescene.com

If the platform takes off like we hope, we will be moving away from Paypal in about a year to reduce the payment processing fees, and allow even more profit to our Members.

Thank you for supporting us!

BOTS creates an advisory board

Following the demand from many members to have BOTS take more of an advisory role to new talents, we have decided to create an advisory board.

This board, composed of recognized industry experts, will make sure we stay in line with what our members need, as well as allowing us to provide industry knowledge and guidance.

Be On The Scene primarily remains a vehicle to promote artist work to a worldwide internet audience, and is best used by artists to release their news to a wider audience and expand their fan base; however the creation of the advisory board does make sense for us to keep helping our members.

We will be building this advisory group over the next 12 months to bring on board advisors on music, fashion, painting and photography.

Thanks for supporting us!

BOTS to launch online music contest

We are always trying to find new ways to best promote our Members online, and get them in front of our worldwide audience. We are therefore please to announce the creation of an online music talent competition!

Musicians are able to enter this competition for free, and get their music promoted all around the world, as well as having the chance to win our prize worth over £500! The winner will also be invited to headline our next live gig in London.

We require artists to upload at least 2 tracks (either on audio or video file) on their BOTS profile. They will then be voted in, or out, by our web audience over 4 rounds taking place over 6 weeks. Voting visitors are not left out of the competition, as we have also allocated free tickets to our next live gig, to be won by our voters. Every time a visitor votes, he or she will have the chance to win a free ticket.

The contest registration opens on April 22nd so update your BOTS profile ASAP to for the best chance to win. The number of participants will be limited.
